Introducing the Wonderful Women Behind OhMyDosh!

In honour of International Women’s Day, we want to introduce you to our ever growing team of amazing women who help keep OhMyDosh afloat. We’ve asked them each a couple of questions so you can get to know them better and find out what IWD means to them.

Meet Pip, our Digital Marketing Assistant

Can you describe your job role at OhMyDosh?
I’ve not long started at OhMyDosh so it’s all still very new to me but I’m getting there. My role is to create marketing materials for the advertisers we work with as well as looking after all the social media. I also have a part in creating and uploading new offers to the website which is exciting and I’m sure there’s much more to come!

What do you love most about your job?
Being new, it’s lovely how welcome everybody made me feel. Starting a new job can be so nerve-wracking but everyone in the office has been so nice.

Who is the most inspirational woman to you?
My Mum. No matter what life throws at her she always stays strong and just gets on with it. She works so hard and rarely complains, I don’t know how she does it.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t worry about things so much, everything always works out in the end.

Why is International Women’s Day important to you?
I feel like it’s good to celebrate all the women in history who have made the path for us today. It’s clear to see things are changing but there’s a long way to go. It’s important to think about those in different parts of the world who are still struggling massively with equality and women’s rights and fight even harder for them.

Meet Gemma, our Head of Marketing

Can you describe your job role at OhMyDosh?
I manage our little email and communication team - you'll find me monitoring things like open and click rates and helping to make up anynOhMyDosh emails for the team's plans, including the latest offers to site and updates.

What do you love most about your job?
The mix of people we get to work with and seeing what our OhMyDosh members love most.
You might have noticed the team love an entertaining GIF, they're also fun to work with. No 2 days are the same!

Who is the most inspirational woman to you?
This year I'm going with my sisters (there are 3 but they all look identical like 1 person)
They all work hard play hard in completely different worlds of Architecture, Market Research & Politics, always there when you need them, will give the most brutally honest of opinions and know how to plan almost any event you would need.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't worry about other people, be selfish, save more and travel

Why is International Women’s Day important to you?
It reminds us to aim high and be grateful for those who supported us in the past and present, it also reminds us there is still some work to do for those that are not as lucky, a great day to celebrate.

I believe we all deserve equal rights in everything around the globe, because singularising a specific day for specific gender openly means it's inferior to the other.
Anyway it's good to celebrate great women in our lives but I think it's better we draw them out of marginal thinking of them as weaker vessels because it limits productivity, thank you.

Glad to see other ladies doing it! #BossLasies I was up at the crack of dawn working on my own. Celebrated in the morning with my favourite track (baby) on repeat and going to tuck into some Spring cleaning!
Probably go for a bike ride later...
