Meet The Women Behind OhMyDosh - Lockdown Edition

As we all know, this past year has been very different. Last International Women's Day we celebrated together, this year we’ll be celebrating apart.

The OhMyDosh team has been working from home for almost a year now and during that time we’ve certainly learnt to adapt. (Although our furry friends have loved having us around.)

For International Women’s Day 2021, we’re introducing you to the amazing women behind OhMyDosh and finding out how this past year’s been for them.

So grab a cuppa, get cosy and meet the lovely team of ladies who keep OhMyDosh afloat.

Job Title: Head of Account Management

Can you describe your role at OhMyDosh and what you love most about it?
I head up the account management team here at OMD, so I oversee all activity from our clients and also look after a small pool of clients myself. I enjoy talking to clients on a daily basis and exploring new ideas and concepts for our users on site to explore!

How have you found working at home this past year?
In the beginning it was tough to adapt to, not being able to see my team every day, having daily conversations over the desk and just missing the office atmosphere. However since working from home for almost a year now, it has become a lot easier and we have found ways to ease communication and get stuff done productively. I am starting to enjoy it but I am excited to get back into the office for a couple of days a week to break it up!

What’s been your biggest challenge during lockdown?
Staying positive has been a huge challenge, missing friends and family and just missing out on all the small joys in life. Lockdown has definitely shown me to not take anything for granted and now I never want to miss out of any event ever again!!

Life being a bit slower has been a blessing, I’ve fallen back in love with reading and also studying my PT course.

When we can travel safely again, where would be the first place you’d love to go?
Anywhere hot with my friends, cocktail on a beach pending please!

What’s been your biggest challenge during lockdown?
My biggest challenge in lockdown (other than training a new puppy) is definitely not being able to see family and friends. Never again will I take for granted a pub lunch, a night out or a holiday!
