5 Activity Ideas For May Half Term

We’ve put together a list of ideas of things you could do with your mini-me in the school holidays. More things are now beginning to open up too which is a nice bonus.

1. Plan a museum day

Museums and art galleries are now opening up again which is great! Lots of local museums offer free entry and provide a great day out that's both fun and educational. Some of the great free museums in London include The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and The Tate.

You may need to book tickets in advance though so make sure you plan ahead. This means it won’t get too busy inside and social distancing can take place.

If you head over to Groupon, you’ll find lots of offers for museums near you and earn up to 9% cashback too.

2. A day out at your favourite theme park

Theme parks are also open again, woohoo! A day out at a theme park is always a great way to keep the little ones entertained and make special memories. Plus lots have done some refurbishments over lockdown too like Chessington which has opened a new ride, ‘Croc Drop.’

We know theme park entry can be a little pricey, especially for the whole family which is why getting a discount is always key. With Lastminute.com you can get discounts on entry tickets plus up to 7% cashback when you go through OhMyDosh

3.  See a film at the cinema

Cinemas in the UK have reopened and there’s lots of films whose release was delayed due to the pandemic, now showing. This Includes family favourites like Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Tom & Jerry and Cruella.

So grab the popcorn and get ready for some action on the big screen!

Not feeling like you want to head out to the cinema just yet? Then bring the cinema to you. Why not get cosy with the blankets and make a home cinema. Plus get 50% off the first film you rent with this great offer from CHILI & earn £2.50 cashback.

4. Meals out

Why not get dressed up fancy and take the family out for a meal? Make sure you look for a good deal too beforehand to save yourself some dosh.

Just a quick Google can often bring up 241 vouchers or let you know which time of day is best to go for deals. Or head over to MoneySavingExpert to find some great offers.

5. Get creative at home

Don’t feel like taking the family out just yet? That’s fine! Why not head over to Pinterest to find some inspiration on arts and crafts. Maybe have a baking day or see what interesting concoction you can make with the food you already have in your cupboards.
